We hired Rick to tear up an old deck the paint was peeling off horribly and build a new one several years ago; homeowner probably did it cheaply to look nice to sell the house. They did a great job on the deck. Started/finished when he said he would, guys cleaned up well after work was done each day. Deck is sturdy and well built. We opted for a nice stain which has to be reapplied every couple years to keep the boards from turning to a grey look which others might like but we don't. Rick has been back once before and this is our second staining. This time I told Rick of the problems we were having( through no fault of their own), ground settling so the screws ripped out of the bottom step to the lawn, and sap coming out of the top step leading into the house. He fixed the leveling and replaced the broken board. He even replaced the sappy board with a new one, all at no cost to us. He stands behind his work. If I had to list a complaint, it would be that he is too busy, probably needs an assistant, as it took him a week to get back to me to discuss the job so I could schedule the staining/repairs. But once we connected everything was scheduled fairly quickly. I would certainly recommend him to others looking to build a deck.
